Bugsy Malone

Today we ran the whole musical and it was so fun to see it all put into one show. I think I need help on when to come in for the dances im in and I need to build confidence to be on stage and not be all shy. As a class I think we all need to work on being quiet backstage because at the moment its very loud backstage. I really like the ending how we all become friends and how we just have fun while being serious at times.

1920s Style Clothing ~ A roaring twenties themed event is one of my favorite decades to dress up for. It is both incredibly glamorous and not too difficult to find something to wear. This wasn’t always the case. When I began researching and writing about 1920s fashion there was little to choose from. Now thanks to several movies and TV series set in the 1920s, twenties fashion, clothing and costumes are everywhere!  For gentlemen, the pinstripe gangster is a classic but so is the more casual vintage 20s working man or sophisticated Jay Gatsby or Peaky Blinders gang. Although the flapper dress or gangster costume is still the most popular roaring 20s outfits to re-create there are many 1920s costume that are not flapper outfits you can make or buy. All of these 1920s fashion are explored below with links to help you create your unique 20s costume.

1920s buildings ~  The styles of buildings were all Gothic, this type of style is intricate and very fancy. On a Gothic type of building you could spend hours on a single wall, due to all the detail. In Modern 1920 the design was simplistic and very functional, it was all about new designs. The 1920's was the time of the skyscraper. The industrial companies were doing very well and this allowed for architects to make big buildings. This was especially true in Chicago, due to the fire that happened.

Bugsy Malone

Yesterday period 3 - 5 we went to our first lessons of Passion Projects. The Teachers we had were Mrs Clark, Mrs Beer, Mr Taylor and Ms Richardson. We first watched a 1 hour and 41 minute Musical about Bugsy Malone, to see what we were doing but we were going to make it shorter. We then put our names down for what part we would like to play, I put my name down for a gang member and Tallulah. We also cad to sing in front of  Mrs Beer and Ms Richardson I sung Flashlight by Jessie J.  We had a read through of the script and got a chance to look at the script so we understand it . We dont know who has what parts yet but im hoping I get the part for Tallulah. Also my Friend Alesha put her name down for Fat Sam and A boxer so i hope she gets the parts as well.
