DLO Reading

This week I decided to make a DLO on my reading, I am reading a book about water and the water cycle. I worked very hard on my work to share with you. Here is my work hope you enjoy :)

What does Christmas mean to Christchurch?

I think Christmas is not about the presents you get or the food you have I think it is about spending time with family and friends. It is also about having a day of school or work just to have fun and to spend time with people you cant see during the day because you are so buzzy. 

It is also about the BBQ in the back yard. 

When it is late December kiwis get ready for there annual holiday

Because they know that soon they are going to have so much with their children. 

So is this what you think Christmas is of do you think that it is something different? 

Who inspires me and Why ?

My grandad in inspires me because he is a fire man. He risks his life to save other people and he has a very high chance for dying but her cares for others more than himself. He inspires me because when I am older I want to be a fire fighter and I want to be just like him. He has ran up the sky tower In Auckland and done       many other brave things.

Interviewing Marjorie Gestring

If I had a chance to Interview her I would ask her... when you hit the water what does it feel like ? - Why do you like diving ? - How many medals have you won ? -  have you wanted to be a diver all your life ? - How hard did you train and how long did you train for ?  

Eddie The Eagle

Eddie The Eagle  is about a kid who wants to be an Olympic but.... his parent say he is not Olympic material. He wanted to compete for skiing but he said it looked to hard so... he decided to be a winter skier. He trained all his life and ended up in hospital.

Be The Inspiration Video

I liked how it had  the soft music in the background and how it had people tanning for the Olympics. 

I didn't like how it had the lines going through the video because it was really detracting. 

The rating I would give it would be **** = a good movie.

Meeting a Athletic person from the Olympics 2016

I have chosen the met Lauren Boyle because she does swimming. She has also earned 1 gold 2 silvers and 1 bronze medals. I chose her because we have a little bit in common. She likes swimming and I like swimming. Also she is in the Olympics and when I am older I want to be in the  Olympics. If I had the chance to met her in real life I would be speechless.

Alexandra Maloney

Alexandra Maloney 
Alexandra Maloney does sailing for the Olympics in Rio.
One of the facts about her is it is her first year for doing Olympics in Rio 2016. 
The second fact about her is That she has a sailing partner called Molly Meech.
The third fact about her is that she has sallied all her life because she grew up on a cruising boat.

The one on the left is Alexandra Maloney  and the one on the right is Molly Meech. 

Gymnastics

I am doing a hand stand to represent gymnastics also when I am older I want to be a gymnast for the Olympics. I am doing a hand stand up against the wall to hold me up longer for the photo. It is very hard to hold a hand stand so after my face normally goes red.

Marathon Swimming

The sport I have chosen to Read and write about is Marathon Swimming.It is a sport where you have to swim 10km, It take 2 hours to complete the race  One yellow flag means that they have a warning and two yellow flags mean that they are out of the race and can not compete any more.  
The aim of the sport Is to swim 10km and be one of the three to be a winner.
One rule for the sport is that you can do back stroke or front stroke and nothing else. 
The second rule is that you have to swim 10km and it will take up two hours of your life. 

New Zealand most famous landmarks

First Landmark - Sky tower in Auckland - This is probably on of our landmarks because lots of people go their and firemen run up there ( like my grandad ). 

Second Landmark - Botanical gardens Christchurch - This is probably one of the landmarks because it is fulled of beautiful flowers and it is very popular. 

Third  Landmark - Rainbows end Auckland - This is one of the famous landmarks because it had lots of food and lots of good services. It even has playground and Mary go rounds for the younger people.

Tom and Vinicius

Tom and Vinicius Episode # 1 

This one was about a floating bubble for two animals  and their bubbles come together to make one big bubble and they mad up a hand shake and became friends. 

I think the next one will be about the two animals  will live together and will go on a camp or holidays together.
